Privacy Policy
Who we are
DouxProcess Directory (https://douxprocess.directory) is operated by DouxProcess. Contact: admin@douxprocess.com.
What we hold
- Business listings. Business name, category, website, business phone, city, state, service area, hours, and licence details as the issuing authority publishes them. Many listings come from public government records. Where a business is run from a home, we show only its city and service area, never the street address.
- Requests you send to a business. The business you chose, your name, your email or phone, what you asked for, the words you agreed to, the time, and the name of the app or assistant that sent it. We keep this as the record of your agreement.
- Claims. The email address or phone number used to claim a listing, whether the check passed, and when.
- Removal and privacy requests. What you asked for, the contact you gave, and what we did.
- Site logs. IP address, browser user agent and the page requested, used to keep the site running and to stop abuse.
What we do with it
We publish business listings so people and AI assistants can find and contact businesses. We send each request to the one business you chose, and to nobody else. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles of people. When you use DouxProcess inside an AI assistant, we receive only what the assistant sends to our tools for that request, never your conversation or files.
Who receives it
The business you chose receives your request. Our service providers process data for us under contract: our database host (Supabase), our server host (Fly.io), and our email delivery provider. We disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Requests and their consent records: 24 months. Claim records: as long as the listing exists. Removal requests: 36 months, so a removed address stays removed. Site logs: 30 days.
Health information
We do not accept requests for health practices through DouxProcess and ask you not to send health details to any business through us.
Your choices and rights
Anyone can ask us to hide a home address, correct a listing or remove it, using this form. Covered persons under New Jersey's Daniel's Law, and people protected by similar laws, can ask us not to disclose a home address or unpublished phone number; we act on those requests at once. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it and to delete it. Email admin@douxprocess.com; we answer within 45 days and will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
The directory is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
